WHAT IS A ROOT CANAL?
A root canal treatment is necessary when the soft tissue inside the tooth (pulp) gets infected and causes pulpitis. Usually it happens when a tooth is badly decayed and the pulp gets inflamed and then infected. Many times this infection causes pain but it can also be painless. The nerve and the blood vessels in the pulp get infected and if not treated – turns into dead tissue. Then infection spreads futher to the jawbone and so it can create a dental abscess.
