WHAT IS A COMPOSITE VENEER?
Composite veneers are made from translucent resin that is carefully sculpted by a Dental Aesthetics Specialist. It allows to create an absolutely new shape and color teeth. This treatment is fast, less expensive and most important – it does not damage the underlying tooth structure. Most of the time the tooth preparation is minimum or none. The treatment requires accurate case analysis to ensure excellent results and durability. Later on it requires some maintenance to keep veneers shiny and avoid staining.

The composite is not harmful to your teeth, it does not damage them. Normally the preparation of the teeth is minimally invasive, which means that the treatment is not agressive at all. Most of the times composite veneers strenghen the structure of your teeth.
Composite veneers is a one-appointment visit. The length of the appointment depends on how many teeth you want to restore. We normally calculate 1hour per tooth. The most regular case is to restore 6 front upper or lower teeth – it takes around 6 hours.
Composite is a strong and very aesthetic material, but it requires some maintenance. You need to have excellent oral hygiene and we recommend to polish your veneers once a year to keep them shiny. In case of chipping it is very easy to fix it in one appointment. Normally we recommend to change veneers in 7-10 years.
This treatment requires comprehensive knowledge of dental aesthetics and oclusion, thourough analysis of the bite and accurate treatment plan. To ensure excellent results and durability of veneers we always recommend that it should be performed by highly specialized and experienced Dental Aesthetics Specialist.
The main pros are: excellent aesthetics, very fast and less expensive treatment. It is possible to fix or change the shape of veneers at any time in one appointment.
The main cons are: life span is shorter than porcelain, has tendency to stain, requires more maintenance.
